| Children's Hospital Event
|
On Saturday, 11/21/09, we visited the Children's Hospital in Aurora, CO. We met some amazing kids and parents who are going through some very difficult times. It was humbling and rewarding for everyone who attended. Many thanks to the VERY generous friends of Fab Fish who donated money to provide free shirts to the hospital. We printed and donated 200 t-shirts and spent time coloring Fab Fish coloring pages Kim created for the event (look for coloring books in the future!) The Conifer High School Poms Team helped with everything and the kids loved their many dance performances!! Thanks to the "Poms Moms" who drove and helped make the event happen! The hospital volunteers were very helpful and led us through several floors delivering shirts to patients who could not visit us in the lobby. We will definitely be doing this event again! Winterfest is a one day festival held indoors on "Main Street" of Evergreen High School in Evergreen, Colorado. It is hosted by the Center for the Arts Evergreen, a nonprofit organization whose mission is "To promote and cultivate artistic excellence in the visual and performing arts in order to enrich the art experience in our mountain community". Fab Fish will be selling custom shirts, greeting cards, and possibly other items featuring the Fab Fish designs, come see us!

|
Conifer Newcomers & Neighbors 32nd Annual Holiday Boutique, Saturday, November 7, 2009, 9am to 4:30pm, Conifer High School, Conifer, Colorado. Conifer High School is at 10441 Hwy 73, Conifer, CO. The Boutique has grown from a small craft show featuring members' handicrafts to a juried arts and crafts event with 90+ talented artists and artisans from around Colorado. This is a community fundraiser run entirely by volunteers. Net proceeds from the Boutique are donated to mountain schools, volunteer fire and rescue departments and other nonprofit agencies along the Hwy. 285 corridor. Conifer Newcomers & Neighbors also provides an annual Evergreen Bootstraps Scholarship to a senior art or music student at Conifer High School.

| Fab Fish Update September 2009
|
Fall is in the air! The kids are back in school, the days are slightly shorter, the air is slightly cooler, and the first leaves are starting to fall. Below is a photo of some of the first Aspen leaves to fall near the Fab Fish Factory on the mountain.
Updates:
Four new fish designs were recently added! Teacher Fish, the September Fish of the Month, is dedicated to hard-working teachers. Three other fish designs celebrate the Fall season: Ghost Fish and Witch Fish are trick-or-treaters. These would be good for tweens who don't want a traditional costume but are not ready to miss out on Halloween. Quilt Fish is a whimsical design that appears to be made like a quilt with the heart separated (also works as a Valentine's Day gift). See these new Fish and all designs on the Fab Fish Designs page.
Fab-Fish.com has been updated with images and colors to match the season!

| Apparel Mart Fashion Show!
|
During the apparel mart in August some Fab Fish apparel was displayed in the fashion show. It was very fun seeing Fab Fish t shirts modeled among the other high fashion apparel. New Fish Designs!!!

Three awesome new fish designs were introduced at the music festival. One sold out and we sold nearly all of the other two but don't worry, we've made more! These new designs are available NOW on all Fab Fish wear; check them out at Fab Fish Designs page.
"Fisher Fish"
Over the summer Kim did some fly fishing on the scenic rivers in central Colorado. The rainbow and brown trout she caught (and released of course) inspired this new fish design:
"Music Fish"
Designed for the Conifer Mountain Music Festival this fish design is perfect for every music lover. Instruments illustrated in this design include french horn, guitar, drums, maracas, tamborine, and a piano key tail!
"Monochrome Peace Fish"
Based on popular demand Kim created a monochrome version of the Peace Fish. Peace is one of our most popular designs and this one looks great in monochrome!! This Fish like the earlier monochrome design shows off the colors of the shirt and is perfect for tie-dye shirts.

Fab Fish on 9 News Denver!! July 29, 2009

Fab Fish was on TV! Susie Wargin, Sports Anchor and host of Gadgets on 9News Denver invited us to share our products on her morning show. It was very early in the morning but we had a GREAT time. Susie Wargin and all the folks at 9News were great and we got a lot of orders immediately following the show. We are VERY proud to add a fully recycled t-shirt to our store! The Anvil Recycled Short Sleeve Tee is made completely from pre-consumer recycled materials. The manufacturing process requires much less energy and land use as well. We are offering three very nice colors that are subdued and have a unique, vintage appearance. Check it out here

Thank you to those who visited us at the Archlees Art Walk on July 11. We had a lot of fun sharing Fab Fish apparel at the show and sold more than we expected.
